Contribute

Help keep knowledge within reach.

RTW is early, open and small enough that one person's contribution is visible. You don't need to write code to help.

Ways to contribute

Software development

Shell, Python and plain web pages. Start with the architecture docs and an open issue.

Documentation

Fill in the pages marked draft, fix what's unclear, add what's missing.

Platform testing

Try RTW on your Mac or Android device and report what happened — good or bad.

Translation

Help make the library app and docs available in more languages.

Resource curation

Recommend reputable, properly licensed resources for the knowledge library.

Accessibility

Make the library and this website work better with assistive technology.

Hardware compatibility

Phones, tablets, SD cards, USB-C drives: tell us what works.

Bug reports

Clear steps to reproduce are one of the most valuable contributions there is.

Your first contribution

  1. Try it. Follow the Quick Start on a Mac, or the Android guide.
  2. Write down what happened. Device, OS version, what you ran, what you saw.
  3. Open an issue — start one here. Hardware reports, confusing docs and resource suggestions are all welcome.
  4. Send a change. Fork the repository, make the change, open a pull request. See Contributing for guidelines.
